Roland L. Booker is a licensed and Ordained Minister and Preacher of the Gospel, radio air personality and promoter of the New Gospel Sound (contemporary, traditional, urban, progressive).
Born May 2, 1959 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Relocated to Houston, Texas in 1970. Attended Ross. S. Sterling High in Houston, Texas. Member and Associate Pastor of St. Stephen Baptist Church, 170 Rittenhouse, Houston, Texas (Pastor, Paul D. Landrew).
Licensed mass conmmunication specialist by FCC in February 1980. First introduced to radio broadcasting in summer of 1978 in New Orleans, La, at Radio staion WBOK. From there to KALO 99 AM and 95FM in Beaumont, Texas. Also KZZB in Beaumont. Still in the early 80's choice 90.9 FM. Became an opportunity for Morning Drive (KTSU) on the campus of Texas Southern.
